Do you want to adopt “green” business practices in your business, but need know-how and motivation to get started? Then join your fellow Chestnut Hill business owners for an inspiring and informative workshop:
“How Green is Your Business? Learn Practical Solutions & Celebrate Your Success”
Organized by Boyer Sudduth Environmental Consultants in collaboration with Chestnut Hill Business Association (CHBA), Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia (SBN), this workshop and self-assessment program is made possible through a CUSP (Climate & Urban Systems Partnership) grant from the Franklin Institute in partnership with the Philadelphia Office of Sustainability.
This workshop is part of the Chestnut Hill Business Association’s new program, Green Business On The Hill, an initiative to recognize environmentally-conscious businesses, offer tools to members who want to incorporate sustainability into their operations, and publicly position Chestnut Hill as a destination for eco-oriented consumers.
The workshop will start with a breakfast and networking session. Subject matter experts will provide helpful tips and background information about how your business can reduce its environmental impact -- particularly around energy and waste -- and help Philadelphia reach its climate goals. Participants will be guided through a simple, but powerful self-assessment tool. Businesses that enroll and adopt sustainable business practices will receive recognition from the Chestnut Hill Business Association in April as part of the organization’s “Green Business on the Hill” initiative.
All registered participants will be entered into a raffle for a copy of Good Morning, Beautiful Business, the memoir by Judy Wicks, founder of the White Dog Cafe and the Sustainable Business Network of Greater Philadelphia.
